Fast-track journalism: GKSC launches Multimedia Journalism course
GK School for Communications is preparing the next generation of multimedia journalists - not through academic lectures, but hands-on newsroom training.
In an era of rapid technological disruption, traditional journalism degrees are struggling to keep pace with how the media world is evolving. At GK School for Communications, the focus is clear: teach what works, teach what matters, and teach it fast.
The new 4-month Multimedia Journalism Course is not about abstract theory or outdated textbooks. It’s about real skills — shooting videos, editing content, writing compelling news stories, doing interviews, copyediting, anchoring, scripting, and learning how to work across digital platforms.
What makes this course unique is that it’s designed and taught by working journalists with decades of field experience to their credit.
Importantly, only 10 students will be selected for each batch, to ensure personalized attention and mentoring.
This course is open not just to aspiring journalists from any field but also to journalism graduates who feel unprepared for the practical demands of the profession. It bridges the gap between classroom learning and real newsroom expectations.
