Farooq, Omar visit Chanderkote on way to Jammu

Banihal, Nov 2: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah briefly halted at Chanderkote in Ramban district while travelling on Jammu–Srinagar National Highway on their way to Jammu on Sunday. They halted for a brief meeting with the district administration led by Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan.

Later, they stopped at Khajuria Dhaba in Peerah, where they enjoyed the traditional lunch of ‘Rajmash-Chawal’ with ‘Anardana Chutney.’

Rajya Sabha member Sajjad Ahmad Kichloo and several local leaders from Ramban district accompanied them.

In view of the VVIP movement, security was tightened along NH-44 across Ramban district.
