Srinagar, Apr 6: Several politicians, Dr Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Sajad Gani Lone and Hakeem Yaseen have greeted the people on Shab-e-Qadr

Dr Farooq Abdullah

In his message National Conference(NC) President, Dr Farooq Abdullah said, “This holy night provides us an opportunity to pray for Almighty’s blessings and strive for being compassionate, pious and dutiful. It is this unique and holy night when Almighty Allah chose to reveal the Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for the guidance of mankind.”

Ghulam Nabi Azad

Chairman Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP Ghulam Nabi Azad posted on X, “Shab e Qadar Mubarak! May Allah accept our prayers, fill our hearts with warmth, and bless us with peace and prosperity.”

Omar Abdullah

National Conference Vice President Omar Abdullah while greeting the people said that the occasion provides an opportunity “to us to spend the night in praying and seeking forgiveness and blessings from Allah.”

Mehbooba Mufti

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti in her message said that while whole of Ramadhan is the month of prayers, forgiveness, compassion and Allah’s mercy, Shab e Qadr comes with the choicest blessings of Allah for the mankind. The night in which the holy Quran was revealed on Prophet Mohammad (SAW) is the best of times to seek forgiveness and blessings of Allah, she said. Mehbooba asked people to join her in her prayers that this night ushers in the times of peace and prosperity for the people of state.

Altaf Bukhari

Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari posted on X, “Greetings to people on the revered occasion of Lailat'ul'Qadr - the Night of Decree! This sacred night holds immense significance as it was on this auspicious occasion that the Almighty Allah chose to reveal the Holy Quran to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for the guidance of mankind. We must seize this opportunity to seek Allah’s blessings and pray for the sustained peace and prosperity across the globe, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.”

Sajad Lone

Peoples Conference (PC) President Sajad Gani Lone conveyed heartfelt greetings to the people of Jammu and Kashmir on the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr, also known as the Night of Power.

In his statement, Lone emphasised the profound spiritual significance of this sacred night, urging everyone to deeply reflect on its importance."As we observe Shab-e-Qadr, let us come together in prayer and contemplation, seeking blessings and guidance for ourselves, our loved ones, and the community at large," he remarked.

Lone further urged the administration to ensure all necessary arrangements and facilities are provided to ensure the comfort and convenience of the people during this holy occasion.

Hakeem Yaseen

Chairman Peoples Democratic Front ( PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has greeted the people especially Muslim ummah on the auspicious occasion.

He observed that the auspicious occasion of Shab-e-Qadr provides an opportunity to seek almighty Allahs blessings and forgiveness. He has urged the people to be humble, charitable, and work for the greater good of humankind. Hakeem Yaseen prayed that the auspicious occasions may prove harbinger of lasting peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir.
