Srinagar, June 9: Several politicians, Dr Farooq Abdullah, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti and Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari have strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a pilgrim bus in Reasi.

National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah and party Vice President Omar Abdullah in a statement stated that such violent acts pose a significant barrier to attaining enduring peace in the region. They called on all communities to unite during these challenging times and back initiatives aimed at achieving lasting harmony. The NC leaders also extended their heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families, expressing their deep sympathy during this tragic period.

Chairman Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) Ghulam Nabi Azad posted on X, “Strongly condemn the militant attack on the pilgrim bus in Ransoo, Reasi. The bus driver lost control, resulting in a fall into the gorge, with 9 feared dead and many injured. This inhumane act deserves the strongest condemnation. Prayers for the injured and condolences to the families who lost their loved ones.”

PDP President Mehbooba Mufti posted on X, “Shocking news coming from Reasi where nine people were killed in a bus accident reportedly caused by militants firing at the vehicle. My deepest condolences to the families & their loved ones.”

Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari posted on X, “Strongly condemn the atrocious terrorist attack on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi, resulting in fatalities of at least ten persons and injuries to over two dozen others. My heartfelt condolences go to the bereaved families and prayers for a swift recovery of all those injured. Urge the security forces to catch the assailants involved in the cowardly attack at an earliest to bring them to justice.”
