Srinagar, Mar 9: Farooq Ahmad Ganai, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), has been elected President of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association (JKCEGA) for a fresh three-year term.

A statement of JKCEGA issued here said that the election, held on March 9, 2025, at the JKCEGA head office within the Engineering Complex, Rajbagh, Srinagar, witnessed robust participation from the association's members.

The electoral process, meticulously overseen by the election commission in the presence of observers from the Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) and retired Chief Engineers, was conducted through a hybrid model, combining both online and offline voting.

Ganai emerged victorious, securing a significant majority of 412 votes, while his opponent, Fayaz Ahmad Yatoo garnered 176 votes.

The resounding victory signifies the strong confidence and support Ganai enjoys among his peers.

Adding to the smooth conduct of the election, Irfan Ahmad Reshi was elected unopposed as the General Secretary of the JKCEGA, further solidifying the new leadership team.
