Fake cigarettes seized at Batamaloo

Srinagar, Jan 30: Police seized fake cigarettes at Batamaloo locality here on Tuesday.

A statement of the Police issued here said that on January 23, Police Station Batamaloo received a complaint mentioning that trade of counterfeit and duplicate Gold Flake cigarettes had taken place.

Police raided a locality at Firdousabad and recovered a consignment of fake cigarettes. Based on this, FIR No 06/01/24 was registered at Police Station Batamaloo under relevant section of law.

The accused Ahmad Rafiq, son of Rafiq Ahmed of Firdousabad was arrested and further investigation is going on.
