Facilitated dialogue between cantonment authorities, residents: Ahsan Pardesi

Srinagar, Jun 20: National Conference Provincial Vice President and MLA Lal Chowk Ahsan Pardesi today facilitated a meeting between the Badami Bagh Cantonment authorities and local residents from Shivpora, Batwara, Indra Nagar, and Sonwa areas under the jurisdiction of the Cantonment.

The meeting was held in the presence of Station Commander Brigadier Udhai Jawa and CEO of the Badami Bagh Cantonment Board Irfan Hafeez. The meeting was a first-of-its-kind formal interaction between the civil population and the Cantonment administration, a press release said.

Residents engaged in healthy and constructive discussions, raising long-standing grievances and pressing developmental issues.  The initiative was widely appreciated by the locals who expressed gratitude to the MLA for his proactive and persistent efforts.

On the occasion, Ahsan Pardesi extended his heartfelt thanks to the President of the Cantonment Board and the CEO. He emphasised that such engagement is crucial in building public trust and addressing long-pending civic issues affecting thousands of residents.
