Srinagar, July 27: Principal Secretary School Education Department Alok Kumar on Saturday said that the extended holidays are not a solution to heat woes.

Speaking to reporters, Kumar said that high temperatures have posed a challenges but maintaining school system is also necessary at the same time.

"We are all enduring the heat, but there is a system in which we have extended the holidays," Kumar stated, highlighting the impracticality of keeping schools closed until temperatures subside completely.

He said that similar measures are not taken during colder months, indicating a need for consistency in educational operations.
