Explosion on LoC amid suspected movement

Rajouri, July 11: Indian Army has heightened vigil on Line of Control (LoC) after an explosion took place during a suspected movement of terrorists at a forward location in Lam area of Rajouri district.

The explosion incident was reported in late evening hours on Wednesday. Official sources said that a suspected movement was picked by troops of army on Line of Control (LoC) in Lam of Nowshera sector.

“ The movement was either related to infiltration attempt or reece by terrorists,” the officials sources said. They added that amid this movement, an explosion took place at the location which is considered as forward location.

“The explosion took place either due to anti personnel land mines or due to IED,” the official sources said adding that it is being suspected that the suspected terrorists may have suffered casualties or injuries.

“Vigil on LoC in the area has been scaled up and the incident is being followed to track the movement and ascertain the causes of explosion,” the officials sources said. Vigil on Line of Control is already being maintained on high alert mode after increase in terror related incidents and terror movement in hinterland.
