New Delhi, Oct 23: Several videos circulating on social media show a massive explosion and fire at a munitions factory in the Russian town of Kopeisk, near Chelyabinsk in the Urals region, about 1,600 km from the Ukrainian border, the BBC reported.
According to the Russian state news agency Izvestia, two blasts occurred at an “enterprise” in the city late Wednesday night, killing 12 people.

The cause of the explosion remains unconfirmed. The BBC said it had verified footage showing the blast, including video from a CCTV camera about three kilometres away that captured the explosion at 23:44 local time, consistent with initial reports.
