Explore possibilities to establish Additional District Judge Court at Chadoora: Rahim Rather

Srinagar, Dec 16: Speaker Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather has assured to explore all possibilities to establish an additional District Judge Court at Chadoora for providing speedy justice to the public.

Responding to a memorandum submitted to him by a delegation of Bar Association Chadoora,  Rather said keeping in view  the geographical and historical importance of Chadoora sub-division and in the larger public interest, the demand for  establishing  an Additional District Judge Court at Chadoora was most  genuine, adding that the matter will be taken up with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the earliest, said a statement.  The delegation of Bar Association, Chadoora was led by noted social activist Adv. Ab Rahid Hanjura.

The Bar Association also urged the need to start construction of court complex Chadoora at the earliest ,for which  DPR stands approved by Honb’le High Court and the concerned government authorities, it added.

The delegation also demanded that the land identified for approach road to court premises be formally acquired by the government through revenue department for convenience of the general public.The delegation also requested that till the recently damaged  main Chadoora bridge is fully repaired and made traffic worthy, an alternative make shift steel bridge needs to be installed for convenience of the commuters .

The meeting between the Speaker and Bar Association Chadoora delegation was held in a very cordial manner wherein Rather assured the delegation to take up the matter with Chief Minister and other concerned government  departments.  The delegation thanked the  speaker for his positive response.
