‘Expedite pace of Smart City projects in Downtown’

Srinagar, Mar 18:  A delegation of traders of Downtown called on Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat and urged him to expedite pace of ongoing development works under Smart City project.

“We apprised the DC about the problems faced by traders, locals and customers due to delay in the execution of development works especially drainage and road constructions in various areas of Downtown. We appealed him to expedite pace of Smart City projects in Downtown before Eid for the convenience of people,” said Nazir Ahmad Shah, president of Shaher-e-Khaas Traders Alliance.

“We also urged upon him to ensure round-the-clock power and water supply in view of holy month of Ramadhan. On the occasion, issues faced by copper dealers in Downtown were also discussed. He assured to review and redress our issues,” Shah added.
