Expecting high voter turnout: Div Com Kashmir on upcoming Assembly elections
Srinagar, Aug 28: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri on Wednesday said that they are expecting a higher voter turnout in the upcoming Assembly elections as compared to the recently held Lok Sabha elections. Many records were set in Kashmir during those elections.
Speaking to reporters inside his Srinagar office, Bidhuri said that all the arrangements from administrative levels to security are in place for the upcoming elections.
Bidhuri said that the competition in Assembly elections is more furious than the parliamentary elections and that is why they are expecting a more big voter turnout,
Appealing to voters, he said people should use their vote even as they should go through the electorate list, so as to avoid any impediments at the eleventh hour.
