Ramban, Sep 25: Expectations of young and elderly voters of Reasi and Gulabgarh constituencies are high from the candidates whom they voted in the second phase of the polling.

Mubashar Choudhary, 59, expressed hope that the candidate, whom he chose to vote, wins  and resolves  the issues of poor road conditions, connectivity, healthcare facilities, erratic electricity and addresses unemployment.

He further said he along with 20 family members polled votes today with  the hope that the central government will restore statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

Another resident of Gulabgargh, Allah Baksh said that Gulabgargh is still grappling with the problems like potable drinking water, shortage of teachers in Schools, and healthcare facilities. He expected issues will be resolved by the new government for which he has voted to a candidate of his choice.

A young voter who has casted his vote for the first time said for the last six years there was no elected government in J&K and hoped that  an elected government is  formed now.

Tariq Khatana said bureaucrats; officers here are unaware about the problems and concerns of the people living in hilly areas.  “We the people of Gulabgarh area want an elected government and candidates so that we can approach them easily and make them aware about the problems being faced by the people living in the far flung area of the Gulabgargh,”he said.

Raman Baru from Reasi said, “We want an elected leader to listen and who works as a bridge between people and government for redressing our grievances.”

Meanwhile people of Reasi and Gulabgarh constituencies expressed their satisfaction over the arrangements made by the administration for Polling across the district.
