Exhibition held at Srinagar GPO

Srinagar, Aug 14: Department of Posts J&K Circle held an exhibition at Srinagar General Post Office on “Partition Horrors Remembrance Day” today.

This exhibition has been held in all 9 Head Post Offices in Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh. The Partition Horrors Remembrance Day has been envisaged to bring to light the agony, sufferings and pain of millions of people and to remind the country about the largest displacement of the human population in the country.

A sizable number of people from different walks of life visited the exhibition in Srinagar GPO today. In all other Head Post Offices a reasonable number of people joined the exhibition including families who have lost their relatives during the partition.

Chief Postmaster General Amitabh Singh along with officers of the Deptt of Posts posted in Srinagar visited the exhibition and the staff and officers of Deptt of Posts also were present in the exhibition.
