Except Gulmarg, Pahalgam, minimum temperature above normal
Srinagar, Dec 2: Barring the ski resort of Gulmarg in Baramulla and the health resort of Pahalgam in Anantnag, the minimum temperatures were above normal in Kashmir and Saturday was a sunny day.
“Gulmarg recorded a low of minus 3.3 degrees Celsius against minus 1.8 degrees Celsius the previous night and the latest temperature was 0.3 degrees Celsius above at the skiing resort,” the MeT officials said here. “Pahalgam recorded a low of minus 0.4 degrees Celsius against 0.5 degrees Celsius the previous night and it was 2.9 degrees Celsius above normal at the health resort.”
The MeT officials here said that Srinagar recorded a low of 4.8 degrees Celsius against 4.5 degrees Celsius the previous night and it was 5.7 degrees Celsius above normal for this time of the year in the city.
They said Qazigund recorded a minimum of 3.4 degrees Celsius against 2.2 degrees Celsius the previous night while the minimum temperature was 4.4 degrees Celsius above normal for the gateway town of Kashmir.
Officials said Kokernag recorded a minimum of 2.2 degrees Celsius against 2 degrees Celsius the previous night and the temperature was above normal for the place by 2.8 degrees Celsius.
They said Kupwara in north Kashmir recorded a low of 2.3 degrees Celsius against 2.6 degrees Celsius the previous night and it was 3.7 degrees Celsius above normal there.
