Ex- trade union leader joins PDP
Srinagar, Jan 22: Bashir Ahmad Parray, a socio-political activist and former trade union leader of Sonawari in Bandipora, today joined PDP.
According to a press release, he joined the party in the presence of PDP General Secretary Mohammad Khursheed Aalam at a function held at the party headquarters in Srinagar.
Welcoming Parray, Aalam expressed confidence that his entry would strengthen the party at the grassroots level. Parray, in his address, said that he had long been a sympathiser of the PDP and was inspired by the vision of the party’s founder, the late Mufti Mohammed Sayeed. He also reaffirmed his faith in the leadership of PDP President Mehbooba Mufti.
The event was attended by several party leaders, including District President Srinagar Abdul Qayoum Bhat, Dr Ali Mohammed, Arif Laigaroo, Bashir Ahmad Beigh, Ali Mohammed Baba, Mushtaq Bathipora, Peer Parvaiz, Peer Irfan, Khan Fayaz, and others.
In another development, Mushtaq Ahmad Denthoo, a social activist from Qamarwari, Srinagar, also joined the PDP. He was welcomed into the party by General Secretary Mohammed Khursheed Aalam and other senior leaders.
