Importantly, Nitin Gadkari conveyed to MP Er Rashid that “your being in jail will not hamper the development of your area,” and assured that all developmental needs of the constituency will continue to be addressed. The Minister also expressed encouraging commitment regarding the Machil and Gurez tunnels, acknowledging their necessity for all-weather access in border regions. Inam said the meeting was constructive and that these assurances have renewed hope for long-awaited infrastructure improvements across Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Lolab, Machil and Gurez.
