Er. Rashid attends Parliament proceedings first time since elected as MP

Srinagar, February 11: Since getting elected to Lok Sabha from Baramulla seat last year, the Awami Etihad Party (AIP) leader, Engineer Rashid attended the proceedings of the lower house of the parliament for the first time on tuesday.

Shiekh Khursheed, MLA Langate and younger brother of Rashid confirmed that he attended the proceedings of Lok Sabha for the first time after his election.

“He was brought in custody from Tihar jail this morning to attend the proceedings," he said.

Rashid, who has been in custody since 2019 in connection with a case, was granted 2-day custody parole by Delhi High Court for attending the ongoing budget session of the Parliament.

His bail plea is in limbo due to jurisdictional issues—(KNO)
