Er Aijaz visits Padshahi Bagh to assess rainfall-related situation

Srinagar, Aug 27: BJP Leader and DDC Member Srinagar Er. Aijaz Hussain visited the Padshahi Bagh , Gandabal area of the Lal Chowk Constituency to take stock of the water level in River Jhelum and its tributaries, amid rising concerns of potential flooding due to continuous rainfall, said a press release.

During the visit, teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the local Tehsildar were present .

Er. Aijaz held an on-ground assessment and interacted with officers from the Irrigation and Flood Control Department. Later in the day, Er. Aijaz Hussain also visited Dalgate, where he met with families affected by a recent fire incident. Meanwhile, Er. Aijaz saw off Union Minister Kiren Rijiju at Srinagar Airport, marking the conclusion of the Minister’s two-day official visit to the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
