Srinagar, Oct 9: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office Kashmir conducted its “Nidhi Aapke Nikat” outreach programme across five industrial estates in Srinagar on September 27. Led by Vinay Kumar, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, the event aimed to strengthen stakeholder relationships and address grievances.

This month’s programme, themed “Filing Advances,” offered on-the-spot guidance on various services, including advance filing, e-nomination, KYC seeding, and claim submissions. It also served as a platform for pensioners to submit digital life certificates and update their information.

Participants were informed about the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme, part of the Prime Minister’s package announced in the Union Budget 2024-25. The scheme aims to create over 2 crore jobs in two years, with a central outlay of Rs. 2 lakh crore.

The event saw active participation from local employers and employees. Attendees were briefed on EPF Act provisions, pension schemes, and insurance benefits. A special pension help desk addressed grievances on-site.

Participants expressed appreciation for the program and requested the inclusion of previous services in the Employees’ Pension Scheme. They also suggested reinstating the advance refund system from the former JKEPFO to protect old-age benefits.
