EPFO Jammu intensifies ‘Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana’ outreach

Srinagar, Nov 6: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Jammu successfully conducted a high-impact awareness workshop on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana in Kathua, with a special focus on bolstering participation within the textile sector. The event saw an overwhelming attendance from industry leaders, government agencies, and key stakeholders.

The workshop, held as part of EPFO's scaled-up outreach efforts targeting the textile industries across Samba, Kathua, and Jammu, was specifically organized at Chenab Textile Mills (CTM), Kathua. The initiative is designed to drive job creation, formalize the workforce, and ensure social security benefits reach first-time employees.

The seminar provided a detailed and comprehensive overview of the flagship scheme, which is expected to benefit 1.92 crore first-time employees nationwide and aims to create over 3.5 crore new jobs. Enforcement Officers Devinder Singh and Bal Krishan led the session, focusing on the yojana's objectives, key benefits for both employers and employees, operational procedures, and the vital compliance framework. The event demonstrated strong inter-agency cooperation, with notable participation from various Central and State nodal agencies.
