EPFO Jammu distributes 32 new PPOs in October
Jammu, Nov 5: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu has been making significant strides in ensuring social security for its members and their families. In a notable development, the regional office issued 32 new Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) during the month of October.
Additionally, the EPFO Jammu was selected for the "Centralised Pension Payment System," allowing pension for October 2024 to be disbursed centrally from the EPFO headquarters in New Delhi.
Rizwan Uddin, the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, personally distributed the PPOs to the pensioners who visited the EPFO Regional Office in Jammu.
"Pension is the most relevant form of social security for employees and their family members in times of need and eventualities," said Rizwan Uddin. "EPFO Regional Office, Jammu has initiated the process of settlement of pension claims from the offices of Jammu and Kashmir itself."
The team of officers and officials from the EPFO Regional Office Jammu, led by Rizwan Uddin, RPFC-I, comprised Ajit Kumar Mishra, RPFC-II, Devinder Singh, EO/AO, and Dr Paramjeet Singh, Sr. SSA. They have been working tirelessly to ensure that women and family members of deceased employees receive reasonable amounts as benefits under the Employees' Provident Fund, Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance, and Employees Pension Scheme.
Special emphasis has been laid on the settlement of death claims, and multiple such claims have been processed, providing benefits to the claimants.
