EPFO hosts ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0’ awareness programme in Katra
Katra, May 27: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu, organised the ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0’ awareness and outreach programme at the Conference Hall of the Spiritual Growth Centre, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, Katra.
The event was led by Regional P.F. Commissioner-I, Sumeet Singh, and aimed to educate stakeholders on various EPFO services, schemes, and recent reforms.
Accompanied by Assistant P.F. Commissioner Sh. Satya Prakash and Enforcement Officer Sh. Devinder Singh, the session focused on empowering employers, employees, and contractors with knowledge of EPFO’s services, including Provident Fund (PF), Pension, and Insurance benefits.
The programme centred around improving member services, with special emphasis on processes such as joint declarations for name and date of birth correction, self-updation of mobile numbers and bank account details, UAN activation, Aadhar linking, and seamless transfer of accounts without employer intervention.
Participants were also briefed on filing grievances via digital platforms like EPFiGMS and CPGRAMS, fraud prevention, and employee rights. Queries from attendees were addressed on the spot by district nodal officers, enhancing the program’s effectiveness and reach.
During the session, enforcement officers reviewed EPF compliance among local construction firms, contractors, and private schools. They stressed 100% employee enrollment and timely deposit of contributions to ensure social security under PF, pension, and insurance schemes. Employers were also encouraged to obtain EPF codes from the Jammu office for ease of registration and compliance.
The event saw active participation from key district stakeholders including Arun Kumar Atri from Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board; Rakesh Wazir, President of the Hotel and Restaurant Association Katra; Vijay Kumar, GM of Taj Vivanta; Jagdish Singh of KC Residency; and Ajay Singh, President of the Private School Association Katra.
Regional P.F. Commissioner-I, Sumeet Singh, thanked the Shrine Board and all participants for their support, reaffirming EPFO’s commitment to extending social security to every eligible worker from day one of employment.
