EPFO expands 'Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0' outreach to Reasi, Leh

Srinagar, June 27: Regional PF Commissioner Rizwan Uddin led an awareness and outreach programme under "Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0" at the Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) Conference Hall in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir. Simultaneously, a similar program was conducted in Leh, Ladakh, expanding EPFO's reach across the region.

In Reasi, Regional PF Commissioner, accompanied by District Nodal Officer Devinder Singh and Enforcement Officer Harshit Pathak, addressed employers and employees' representatives. The session covered various EPFO initiatives, including e-nomination, UAN activation, KYC updation, and online ECR filing. Participants were also informed about the Employees Deposit Linked Insurance (EDLI) Scheme and the Employees' Pension Scheme benefits.

Employers from prominent companies such as L&T, ABCI, and Konkan Railways received guidance on accessing the Principal Employer Portal and ensuring sub-contractor compliance. Members were given live demonstrations on filling online forms for PF withdrawals and transfers.

During his visit, Commissioner Uddin also inspected the Reasi Railway Station, where he directed the principal contractor to ensure PF deposits for all workers, addressing the issue of some sub-contractors not having PF codes.

In Leh, Sandeep Kumar, SS (Ladakh), conducted the program at The Abduz, Old Road, Shrynam, where local establishment representatives and employees participated.

The outreach initiative highlighted the extension of social security benefits to the Union Territories of Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh since November 2019, including enhanced benefits under the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme.
