EPFO conducts awareness programmes at Patnitop, Leh

Srinagar Aug 27: Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Jammu conducted awareness programmes under "Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0" in Patnitop and Leh.

In Patnitop, Regional P.F. Commissioner-I Rizwan Uddin led the programme at Hotel Trinetar, accompanied by District Nodal Officer Devinder Singh and Enforcement Officer Harshit Pathak. Representatives from local hotels attended the event.

The commissioner briefed attendees on EPFO initiatives including E-Nomination, UAN Activation, KYC Updation, and online ECR filing. He clarified misconceptions about enrollment for seasonal workers, leading to increased interest in EPFO schemes.

The programme addressed employer concerns and provided hands-on training for DSC/E-Sign registration and ECR challan filing. Uddin also highlighted the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme and Employees' Pension Scheme benefits.

A parallel program was conducted in Leh by SS Sandeep Kumar at the National Institute of Sowa-Rigpa, engaging local establishment representatives and employees.

Both events emphasised the extension of social security benefits to Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh since November 2019, including enhanced insurance coverage up to seven lakh rupees under the EDLI Scheme.

The interactive sessions lasted over two hours, allowing participants to address specific issues and receive guidance on PF-related matters.
