EPFO conducts awareness drive with special focus on textile sector

Srinagar, Nov 4: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Regional Office Jammu, has been conducting a series of awareness seminars and outreach programs on the PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana, a flagship initiative aimed at job creation and formal workforce expansion. Over 200 units have already been registered in Jammu region to avail the benefits.

To further scale up outreach efforts, EPFO RO Jammu plans to intensify awareness campaigns targeting textile sector this week with a special focus on textile industry in Samba, Kathua and Jammu.

Various outreach programs including seminars, workshops and webinars have been planned for this week including a workshop in Chenab Textile Mills, Kathua. Various Central & State nodal agencies are expected to join the program. Multiple departments, agencies and contractors concerning textile sector will be participating in the program. The aim is to engage and motivate students to pursue employment opportunities that enable them to benefit from the scheme.
