Srinagar, Jan 14: Entrepreneurs who have been allocated land at the Industrial Estate (IE) Pampore are demanding prompt possession of the allotted land to commence their ventures.

Expressing their concerns, a group of entrepreneurs has issued a statement appealing to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to intervene and facilitate the possession process, for which they have completed all required formalities.

"The IE Pampore grapples with delays in providing possession of legally leased land to rightful unit holders, creating financial hardships and breaching trust. Approximately 95% of unit holders face uncertainty, with their future, money, aspirations, and enthusiasm in limbo."

"Compounding the issues is an unresolved dispute with the Jammu and Kashmir Projects Construction Corporation (JKPCC). Even after executing lease deeds, the land remains under the possession of JKPCC, and entrepreneurs are barred from visiting the site for which they pay premium rent and maintenance fees," the entrepreneurs alleged.

They said that the government had formed a committee, tasked with proposing solutions, but has failed to meet deadlines.

Entrepreneurs have urged the LG administration, the Industries and Commerce department and concerned authorities to address the deepening crisis at IE Pampore.
