According to a press release, Rana was interacting with a delegation of over 300 members of the All J&K Transport Welfare Association, led by S Ajit Singh and Vijay Singh Chib, along with the presidents of all the transport unions of J&K UT. Rana assured while their genuine demands would be taken up at appropriate forum for earnest consideration, they too should cooperate the administration in adhering the norms for the general interest of the travelling and commuting public, vehicle pliers and smooth traffic management.

The delegation, inter-alia, raised the issues pertaining to the obtaining practice of e-challaning by the Traffic Department, saying this should not be just to meet targets at the cost of vehicle commuters. They said while the e-challaning system seems to be of international standards, the road infrastructure, chowks, and crossings are of very low standard. If such systems are to be applied, there must be the best infrastructure in place as well, they argued.
