'Ensure dignity, fair pay for contractual lecturers': Mehbooba Mufti
Srinagar, Nov 28: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and former chief minister of the erstwhile state Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday demanded fair pay for contractual lecturers in J-K.
Despite being the backbone of the higher education system in the UT, Mufti said they are facing severe injustice.
"With a meagre salary of ₹28,000 and no summer or winter pay as compared to their counterparts in Ladakh which offers ₹57,700, their plight cannot be ignored," PDP's official spokesperson said while quoting Mufti.
