Ensure adequate supply of essentials in district Ramban: Sajjad Shaheen

Banihal, June 11: National Conference leader and district president Ramban Sajjad Shaheen has urged the administration to ensure adequate supply of essentials to people on the auspicious occasion of  Eid-ul-Adha in district Ramban particularly in Banihal and Gool.

In a statement, he said that  people should not suffer due to non-availability of  essentials on the auspicious occasion.  He said that people living in far flung areas are facing shortage of ration. People in  many villages including  Banihal ,Ramban, Gool and Batote that include Sangaldan, Khari, Trigam, Mahu-Mangit, Neel, Rajgarh, Kanga, Harog, Gagarnag, Pogal, Maligam, Alinbas, Paristan, Chaka, Sarbagni, Amkote, Thachi, Sarachi, Runigam, Tajnihal, Kharwan,  Nadika, Sumar, Chamalwas, Chaknarwa, Hinjhal, Phago, Lamber, Nowgam, Chanjlu, Sarachi, Tanka, Armdaka, Bawah, Hijwa ,Shagan , Hingni Deedah, Harog,  Indh ,Chachwa are complaining about frequent electricity cuts and scarcity of drinking water that is causing immense problems to the people.

He appealed to the administration to ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity and drinking water to people in all village of the district particularly in remote areas of Banihal.

Shaheen  emphasied that district administration should maintain complete vigil on the supply of essentials and ensure that people do not suffer on account of ration, sugar, kerosene , cooking gas and others essentials. He also urged upon the administration and food and supplies department to take effective measures to check the market prices of essentials and keep the prices under control.

Shaheen further said that it would be better if market checking squads are deployed in every market in the Ramban District and elsewhere so as to ensure that consumers are not charged double price.
