Enemies of peace deprived mother of her support: Ravinder Raina
Kupwara, Apr 28: Senior BJP leader Ravinder Raina strongly condemned the killing of Ghulam Rasool Magray, a 43-year-old civilian, by unknown gunmen in Kandi area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Raina was talking to media after offering condoles to the victim's family on Monday. He expressed anguish and deep concern over the killing, which occurred infront of the deceased's elderly mother, leaving her without her sole support.
Raina attributed the killing to "enemies of Kashmiriyat, peace, and humanity" and questioned the motives behind the brutal act. "What can the killers of this labourer, who was the only support of his elderly mother, achieve with his killing," he said.
He said that those responsible for the killing of this innocent civilian have carried out a big sin, for which nature would never forgive them.
Raina demanded justice for the victim and his family.
To a question about Pahalgam killing, the senior BJP leader said that the people across Jammu and Kashmir took to streets to express grief and anger over the cowardly terrorist attack which claimed 26 lives of tourists.
"People came out in large to condemn the attack on tourists, thereby rejecting Pakistan sponsored terrorism. Even the resolution passed in Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly stands testament that terrorism has no place in this region, more importantly it warns that those who try to challenge India's sovereignty and unity will be dealt with severely," said the former Jammu and Kashmir BJP President.
