Encounter breaks out in north Kashmir's Baramulla
Srinagar, Sep 13: A gunfight has started between terrorists and security forces in Chak Tapper area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday late night.
A top police officer said that a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Chak Tapper.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight in the area, he said.
Kashmir Police Zone in a post on X said: “#Encounter has started at Chak Tapper Kreeri Pattan area of #Baramulla. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow.”
