Encounter breaks out in Jammu Kashmir's Udhampur

Srinagar, April 09: A gunfight has started between terrorists and security forces in the village Jopher area of Ramnagar in the Udhampur district.

The security forces established contact with terrorists during a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the village, following which an exchange of gunfire ensued between the two sides.

According to security officials during a search operation launched by Jammu and Kashmir Police and other security units contact was established with terrorists at the village Jopher, where 2-3 terrorists are believed to be trapped.
