Encounter breaks out along LoC in J-K's Poonch

Rajouri, July 30: An encounter has erupted between security forces and terrorists on Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector.

As per reports, over some inputs regarding suspicious movement ahead of forward locations, entire LoC in Poonch sector was put on high alert especially in view of Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra.

In the wee morning hours of Wednesday, official sources said, a group of terrorists were trying to infiltrate towards LoC but their attempt was timely picked up and responded by army troops.

"Fire fight erupted in the area and exchange of fire was going on when last reports were received." said official sources.
