Embrace innovation, keep pace with evolving landscape of medicine: Director SKIMS to students
Srinagar, May 4: Director Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science (SKIMS) Soura, Dr Muhammad Ashraf Ganai encouraged the students to embrace innovation, stay curious, and keep pace with the evolving landscape of medicine.
Addressing the students of Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) Srinagar during an event titled Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI) hosted an inspiring and interactive session titled “Healing with Intelligence: The Role of AI in Modern Medicine”, Director SKIMS who was the chief guest at the occasion, stressed the importance of continuous learning, ethical responsibility, and compassionate care in the healthcare profession.
He highlighted the latest technological advancements and new initiatives underway at SKIMS and emphasised the transformative role of artificial intelligence in diagnostics, patient care, and medical research.
During his address Director SKIMS also extended an open invitation to the students to visit SKIMS, offering them a valuable opportunity to experience firsthand the world of modern medicine and healthcare innovations.
The event titled Role of AI in Modern Medicine brought together eminent medical professionals, faculty, and enthusiastic students to discuss the rapidly evolving role of artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector.
Earlier in his welcome address, Chairman GVEI Mohammad Yousuf Wani in his welcome address highlighted the commitment of the institution in organising such inspirational and enriching events for the students and staff.
The session saw active participation from students of both medical and non-medical streams of class 11 and 12 who shared their insights on the relevance of artificial intelligence in modern medicine, reflecting their keen interest and awareness of cutting-edge developments in healthcare.
During the proceedings of the function, Head of the Department of Neurology Dr Ravouf Parvez Asimi in his address urged the students to remain focused in their academic journeys and expressing his hope to see many of them pursue careers in medicine.
Chairman GVEI expressed his gratitude to the guests and said such events are organised to boost the morale of students and staff alike, instilling in them a sense of ambition and purpose. As a gesture of gratitude and respect, the school presented mementos to the guests.
