Electric supply remains snapped to Seri area for 3rd consecutive day

Ramban, Sep 6: Electric supply remained snapped to Seri area for the third consecutive day today.

On Wednesday electricity was disconnected due to a truck accident resulting in damages to a tumbler. The transmission lines feeding to the area cater more than 100 families.

The residents said the Power Development Department is adopting delay dallying tactics to replace the damaged transmission lines and electric tumbler pole.

They said due to which scores of consumers are suffering due to the lack of electric supply.

A local resident Bahadur Sungh said the majority of the Seri area has been reeling under darkness since the past three days. He said electric supply was not restored till Friday evening.

People urged Deputy Commissioner Ramban, to intervene in the matter and direct the Executive Engineer JPDCL to replace the damaged electric pole and restore electric supply to the area.

Meanwhile a Lineman of Power Development Friday evening informed that efforts are being made to restore electric supply to the affected areas of Seri. He said electric supply would be restored till late Friday evening.
