Elderly citizens of Budhal vote for better basic amenities
Rajouri, Sep 25: Elderly citizens of Budhal today said that they voted for better basic amenities.
“We have voted for better basic amenities especially power and healthcare sector,” said the elderly trio who voted at Rehan polling station in Budhal assembly constituency of Rajouri district.
Mohammad Khan and Qasim Din among three elderly men from Rehan village jointly visited the village polling station and voted on Wednesday.
Expressing hope for a pro-people govt in UT, trio hailing from nomadic Gujjar community said that nomads face a lot of hardships while people in villages also suffer badly amid lack of basic amenities.
“Poor electricity scenario and hefty bills, poor healthcare setup, dilapidated sector of education and especially rising rate of unemployment are some of the issues which confront every citizen now a days,” they said.
The village elders further said that they have voted to end these issues and want their next elected representative to work for public welfare.
