Srinagar, Oct 26: The Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu and Kashmir (EJAC) has urged the government to address the long-pending demands of employees and take concrete steps toward their resolution.

In a statement, Senior Trade Union Leader and  President EJAC Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam called upon the authorities of J&K administration to prioritise the welfare of employees, stressing that their well-being is vital for the smooth and efficient functioning of the government machinery.

Shabnam highlighted several key concerns, including the release of pending 3 per cen Dearness Allowance (DA)in favour of  employees, pointing out that the Central government has already granted the same benefit to its employees.    He reiterated the demand for the regularisation of all type categories of daily wagers, as the top priority requiring immediate government attention. He highlighted that this is a long pending issue and already written agreements with the leadership of employees has been done in this regard which was promised by previous governments as well as the current dispensation  from time to time during their interactions with EJAC.
