EJAC urges Govt for release of pending pensions

Srinagar, Jan 1: Employees Joint Action Committee Jammu and Kashmir (EJAC), through its President and senior trade union leader Fayaz Ahmad Shabnam, has urged the government to ensure the immediate release of pensions to those pensioners who have not yet received their dues due to issues related to Life Certificates.

In a statement, Shabnam expressed serious concern over the hardship faced by pensioners whose pensions have been withheld on the pretext that their Life Certificates have not been entertained for one reason or another.

He said that the delay has caused immense suffering to senior citizens, many of whom depend solely on their pension for survival.

Shabnam expressed deep anguish and displeasure over the continued denial of timely pension payments, terming it highly unjust and insensitive towards senior citizens.
