EDII launches national entrepreneurship movement with ‘Udyamita Pakhwada’
Leh, Nov 16: The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, has launched Udyamita Pakhwada 2025, a nationwide initiative aimed at fostering innovation, self-reliance and entrepreneurial mindsets across the country. Recognised as a Centre of Excellence by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, EDII is implementing the programme with support from state education departments and higher education institutions.
As per the statement, the fortnight-long initiative was inaugurated on 09 November in Leh by Lieutenant Governor Kavinder Gupta. The launch coincided with National Entrepreneurship Day and featured the release of the Enterprising Ladakh Report, a Catalogue of Enterprises, and an exhibition showcasing over 80 local ventures. More than 1,500 Ladakhi students have already been trained in enterprise development, banking, marketing and MSME setup.
Similar programmes are being conducted across multiple states between 09 and 21 November, including Gujarat, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Karnataka and others, featuring workshops, exhibitions, competitions and mentorship sessions.
EDII Director General Dr Sunil Shukla said the initiative aims to ignite entrepreneurial ambition nationwide and help transform ideas into sustainable enterprises.
