DYSS Poonch conducts soft tennis trials in Surankote

Poonch, Jul 31: The Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Poonch, on Thursday successfully organised District-Level Trials-cum-Selection in the discipline of Soft Tennis for All Age Group (AAG) Boys and Girls at Zone Surankote, as part of the Activity Calendar 2025–26.

The event was conducted under the directions of the Worthy Director General, Youth Services and Sports J&K UT, Smt. Anuradha Gupta (JKAS), and the guidance of the worthy Joint Director YSS Vinakshi Koul JKAS.

The trials were held at Girls Middle School, Hurmi Dhakki, under the overall supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Poonch, Sh. Mohd Qasim, and IC ZPEO Poonch, Sh. Khawaja Muzaffar Ahmed.

On the occasion, DYSSO Mohd Qasim extended his best wishes to all the participants and encouraged them to play with passion, discipline, and the true spirit of sportsmanship. IC ZPEO Sh. Khawaja Muzaffar Ahmed also interacted with the players and motivated them to aim high and stay committed.

The entire event was meticulously coordinated and managed by Vijay Kumar (PEM), Activity Incharge, Department of Youth Services and Sports, Poonch, whose efforts ensured the smooth execution of the trials.

All matches were conducted under the technical supervision of Abdul Rehman Khan (PEM), with support from the DYSS officials Manzoor Ahmed (REK), Isara Ahmed (REK), Manzoor Rather, Pervaiz Ahmed (REK), Muzaffar Iqbal (REK) and Altaf Hussain (REK)
