Dussehra celebrated in Rajouri, Poonch

Rajouri, Oct 24: The festival of Dussehra was celebrated with religious fervour in areas of Rajouri and Poonch districts with a large number of people attended the events of this festival held at multiple places.

In Rajouri district, Dussehra events were held at many places including Sunderbani, Nowshera, Kalakote sub division headquarters with main event was held at district headquarter Rajouri.

In Rajouri town, Dussehra was celebrated at Dussehra ground after a jhanki was organised from Sanatan Dharam Sabha and later effigies of Raavan, Meghnath and Kumbkaran were set to fire.

Thousands of people drawn from all walks of life attended the event with tight security arrangements were also put in place.

In Poonch district, the main event of festival was held at Poonch Dussehra ground with similar events were held at Mendhar and other also witnessing large scale participation.
