DSEK reverts official to lower post
Srinagar, Feb 23: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has reverted an official to a lower post following his suspension by the department while the increment of another official, suspended in 2021, has been withheld as well.
As per the DSEK order, Fareed Ahmad Lone, incharge Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Narbal, who was previously incharge ZEO of Kunzar and was attached to DSEK upon his suspension has been reverted to a lower post as headmaster of High School Rakhshalina, Budgam, on the available post.
As per the order, the Chief Education Officer (CEO) Budgam has been directed to recover losses to the government exchequer incurred due to the post-facto sanction of undue leaves granted to a terminated teacher who had applied for the voluntary retirement from services.
“The recovery will be made from Lone, who issued the said sanctions, under Rule 30 (IV) and Rule 32 of J&K CCA Rules. The recovery, either in a lump sum or in installments, will be based on the details of the amount drawn by the terminated teacher to be obtained from the ZEO Kunzer, Baramulla,” the DSEK order reads.
Additionally, the incharge ZEO Kunzar, who was suspended under Order No 529 DSEK of 2021, dated August 7, 2021, has been reinstated with a penalty of withholding increments without cumulative effect.
Abdul Majeed Deedar has now been posted at High School Gund Chabutra in Kupwara district as incharge senior headmaster on the available post.
