Light rain expected in J&K from May 1-5: MeT

Srinagar, April 30: According to the Meteorological Center, the weather in Jammu and Kashmir is expected to remain hot and dry on April 30. But from 1st May till 5th there is possibility of light rain certain places at isolated regions with thunder and gusty winds.

As per the meteorological department, from May 6 to May 8, the weather conditions in the region are expected to remain generally dry, with little to no precipitation. Daytime temperature is likely to stay above normal during this period.

But from 9 to 10 May, a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect the region, leading to a possibility of light rain and thunder at a few places.

Residents and travelers are advised to stay hydrated and to take necessary precautions in case of heat waves.
