Drug peddler’s property attached in Kathua
Jammu, Oct 31: J&K Police Friday attached the property, worth Rs 86 lakh, belonging to a drug peddler in Kathua.
“The Police attached immovable and movable property comprising one double storey residential house, 1 tractor trolley, 1 Mahindra Pick Up, total value Rs 86 lakhs of a notorious drug peddler namely Mohd Aslam, son of Teg Ali, resident of Marheen Rajbagh and his close relatives,” a Police spokesperson said.
“Following a thorough financial investigation, the attached properties were submitted to SAFEMA for confirmation under the NDPS Act, which has now been duly confirmed,” the spokesperson said.
The drug peddler has been arrested in case FIR No 99/2024 U/S 8/21/22/27(a) NDPS Act PS Vijaypur; FIR No 173/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act PS Vijaypur and FIR No 73/2023 U/S 8/21/22/29 NDPS Act.
“The drug peddler is engaged in inter-state narcotics nexus and is presently in judicial custody. It has been proven that he amassed huge property disproportionate to his known sources of income,” the spokesperson said.
