Drug peddler held with contraband substance in Baramulla: Police

Srinagar, Feb 08: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday arrested a drug peddler in Baramulla and recovered contraband substance from his possession.

A police party during naka checking on NHW near Eco Park arrested one drug peddler identified as Arshid Ahmed Sheikh, son of Mohd Maqbool Sheikh, resident of Fatehgrah. During his personal search, 135.5 grams of charas-like substance was recovered from his possession.

Accordingly, a case has been registered vide FIR No. 03/2026 under relevant sections of law at Police Station Sheeri and investigation has been taken up.
