Ramban, Nov 25: Udhampur Police arrested a wanted drug peddler and recovered 10 grams of contraband (heroin) on Monday.

Police sources said led by SHO Police Station, Udhampur while performing routine patrolling arrested a suspected person who on seeing police tried to flee from the spot at Zero Morh Jakhar area of the city.

They said on frisking 10 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from the possession. He was arrested on the spot. Police identified the peddler as Des Raj @ Dasu son of Parma resident of Jakhad, Udhampur .

Police has registered a case vide FIR No. 464 of 2024,under section 8/21/22/ NDPS Act at Police Station Udhampur.
