Drowning incidents: Public entry restricted near waterfall at Sopore’s Reshipora Hardu Shiva
Sopore, Jun 10: Acting on growing public concern over safety risks to visitors, Tehsildar Zaingeer in north Kashmir's Sopore town has issued an order declaring the entire area around the waterfall on Hardu Shiva Nallah at Reshipora Hardu Shiva as a strict “No-Go Zone.” Order issued by Tehsildar Zaingeer, reads, “As per the demands of the local population of Reshipora Hardu Shiva, regarding a waterfall near the water supply source which can pose a threat to the public with increasing footfall.
Therefore in virtue of the powers vested under Section 163(1) BNSS, it is hereby ordered that the area in around the waterfall at Reshipora Hardu Shiva, is hereby declared as No-Go Zone,” it reads.
The above order shall be complied in letter and spirit by all the concerned, failing which shall invite strict action, reads the order.
Tehsildar Zaingair Bomai, Zahid Rashid and Station House Officer Bomai, Zia Ur Rehman are closely monitoring the situation around the Reshipora Shiva waterfall, which has been declared a No-Go Zone. Anyone found violating the order will face strict legal action, officials added. The administration has adopted a zero-tolerance policy towards anyone disobeying the No-Go Zone order. The authorities are working together to ensure public safety and prevent any untoward incidents. “Individuals found violating the order will be dealt with according to the law, and strict action will be taken against them. The authorities urge everyone to co-operate and respect the No-Go Zone declaration,” it added.
