Drone carrying thermal payload recovered in Akhnoor

Jammu, Sep 13: Police on Saturday recovered a drone during patrolling in Fattu Kotli village in the Garkhal area of Akhnoor in the Jammu district.

Police said that a team from Police Post Garkhal was on routine patrol at around 8.45 pm on Saturday in the village of Fattu Kotli when it saw a drone stuck in trees.

“The seized drone was brought to the Police Post Garkhal. On checking, it was found that a thermal payload was attached under the drone,” police stated.

It was being investigated whether the drone came from across the border or was being operated locally.
